Video from Jordan

In fall of 2014, I traveled to Jordan and other areas in the Middle East. While in Petra, I met a class of middle school girls who were visiting the ancient ruins for a field trip. The girls attended a private school near Amman Jordan. They were delightful to talk with. Even though English was limited they were cordial and gracious. I asked if they used computers in their school. "Oh Yes!" they all chimed in and with one sweep of the arm, they all raised their smart phones. This was the technology most commonly used in their school.

We recorded a short video of the girls dancing to Yankee Doodle Dandy.

International Teacher Discussions

International Teachers Partner with ECU Students.

Graduate students in EDTC 6035 at East Carolina University (Dept of Mathematics, Science, and Instructional Technology in Education) recruited teachers from outside the U.S. to answer questions about school and the life of a teacher in their home country. EDTC 6035 students were persistent in their efforts at locating an international partner to discuss such things as curriculum, ICT, and use of technology in K12 classrooms. The response was outstanding! See below links to the reports with a global representation.
